Static site generator and technical portfolio pipeline built in Rust with declarative sections, selectors and incremental builds.

01 // The Challenge

A personal systems notebook should grow without rewriting handlers every time a section appears. The old site mixed routing, indexing and presentation in Rust. Adding talks or logs meant another context struct.

02 // Architecture

The engine treats the site as a program:

  • Units are schema-validated documents with a stable CID.
  • Selectors choose sets (folder, facet, relation, query).
  • The planner materializes routes from _section.ron.
  • Views only format what the index already computed.

Rebuilds are incremental: fingerprints track units, templates, section specs and assets.

03 // Runtime

osys_cli build emits dist/. osys_cli dev watches content, templates, CSS and scripts, then live-reloads. Adding a unit type is schema + section config, not a new crate.
